Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor is best known as the lead actor in the tv show Law & Order Special Victims Unit. His interest in acting began during his college years. He pursued acting classes at University of Colorado at Boulder. He has appeared in both movies and on television, but it was his character on the small screen that made him famous and earned him a large fan base. He has been able to seamlessly play characters on both sides of the law to grab an audience's interest. The first show he worked on was a television serial, however, he was later cast in the part of an NYPD detective. He's been nominated many times for the prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards in recognition of his small-screen performances. His signature deep blue eyes, with piercing lines that can be said to help his look attractive. They have helped to convey rough characters in a attractive manner. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
